Hideo Tanai is an idea-shaper and visionary interpreter of his many clients that have spanned the globe and believes in the simplicity of manifesting his clients’ personal aesthetic into architectural and design creations. Hideo’s desire to bring visions to life began in a professional capacity when he received his Master of Architecture at the prestigious Cornell University in upstate New York. Born in Japan, Hideo is naturally influenced by simplicity of design, but his experience in working across the world – from New York to Rome, Japan to Carmel, and Napa Valley to Montana – has broadened his ambition to create functional and beautiful spaces that suits his clients’ varied lifestyles.
Founded in 2003, Atelier Tanai has grown into one of the premier full-service design-build firms located in Northern California. Based in St. Helena, California with a satellite office in Mesa, Arizona, the portfolio of work is International.
